If they grow well over the summer, they may flower late summer to early fall this season. The color can range from orange to orange/red.

This is a wonderful Southeast Asian orchid that grows in deciduous forests. The flowers are a fluorescent orange and almost neon-like in color. These plants typically sprout in the spring from their dormant state and flower in the summer. Habenaria go dormant after blooming and slowly lose all of their foliage. Once dormant, a tuber inside the pot will rest until late spring. During dormancy, do not saturate with water. If you can store the tuber in a slightly humid environment (50 to 70 percent), watering the plants is not necessary. If the environment is very dry (under 50% humidity), spritz the surface with water once a week to keep the tuber from shriveling up completely. You should be able to water the plant and see growth emerge again sometime in the spring to summer.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0959/4313/1445/files/c1fa65c2-9b93-4c3f-b0ae-cc7732542957__21585.jpg?v=1774644078
