It is well known for its flowers, which have a strong coconut fragrance both day and night.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis orchid is especially rewarding when grown to specimen size, as it can produce many clusters of flowers.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIn Latin, \u003cem\u003etenui\u003c\/em\u003e = fine and \u003cem\u003efolia\u003c\/em\u003e = foliage, hence the species name \u003cem\u003etenuifolia\u003c\/em\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAn easy species to grow, it is tolerant of cool to warm temperatures and reliably blooms in the spring.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis batch includes both the standard form and the tetraploid (4N) variety. The 4N plants are notable for their larger pseudobulbs and fuller, significantly thicker flowers.
