This is a lowland species which does best in the heat. They flower in the summer when the temperatures are in the 80s to low 90s. That being said, these can still grow and flower in the 70s, but would prefer the mid to upper 70s for better growing. Our plants go through an intermediate/warm temperature winter, and warm summers.

This batch was imported in the spring of 2026, and has now established roots and rehydrated the foliage. These are on the light green side of foliage color due to adjusting from the import, and newer foliage should have slightly darker green from here on out. The photo is an example of the current plants available. They have darker flowers than the standard wild violacea.

Sweet, fragrant flowers which also have flower spikes that can re-bloom each season, so you do not cut them off post blooming.

*Note: Some may ship with open flowers.
